Welcome to FLC Kitchen

FLC Kitchen (also called L'Atelier) is the hackerspace / makerspace of the FLC complex in Bansko, Bulgaria. It lives in the former restaurant kitchen on the ground floor — which is why it's called the Kitchen, why Petya still calls it the kitchen, and why our domain is flc.kitchen. It's where you cook things.

The space started in April 2026 with a 3D printer, a pile of server hardware, and a Telegram group. Since then members have built (among other things) a Telegram-controlled door lock, an isolated fibre network with its own servers, an outdoor workbench, wall shelves, LED lighting, several Telegram bots, and an AI facility monitor called SENTINEL/86 that will politely nag the group when someone blocks its camera.

What people do here

  • 3D printing — the most active area by far: FDM and resin printing, design help, filament stock. See 3D printing.
  • Electronics — soldering, ESP32 projects, NFC, repairs of anything from walking-pad remotes to laptops. See Electronics.
  • Servers, networking & AI — the space has its own network and server hosting *.flc.kitchen sites and bots. See Network & servers.
  • Woodwork & space upgrades — workbench, shelves, furniture. See Wood workshop.
  • Whatever you bring — live streaming, games, hydroponics, crafts with the Cricut, karaoke tooling. Bring a project or adopt one from Projects.

Where everything happens

Day to day, the space runs through the Telegram group — announcements, questions, booking the printer, opening the door, and the bots all live there. Start with Telegram & bots.

First steps

  1. Get added to the Telegram group — see Joining.
  2. Learn how to get in the door — see Getting in.
  3. Read the short house rules.
  4. Ask someone to show you the 3D printer, and start making things.

The one-line philosophy

Guys, do it — it's not magic. Photograph the PCB and ask Claude for assistance if stuck.
